Rhiannon Johnston is a videographer, visual storyteller, and multimedia producer based in the Washington, D.C.–Baltimore area. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between human stories and the environmental world, using visual storytelling to explore the ways people, communities, and the natural world intersect.

Rhiannon graduated summa cum laude from Western Kentucky University in May 2025 with bachelor’s degrees in Photojournalism and Advertising. She also studied photography at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus, Denmark.

Through photography, video, and multimedia storytelling, she has helped highlight the work of biologists, researchers, conservationists, and community members working to protect and preserve natural spaces, including Acadia National Park and the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Rhiannon is passionate about using visual storytelling to connect audiences with important environmental and social issues and remains open to opportunities for work in the U.S. and beyond.
